Notes
: The hoop is complete and unbroken with two raised shoulders set off the sides of the central pie-crust type stone setting. The stone is intested and naturally faceted. The gilding is almost complete.

Metal detecting find from Europe.

Similar to: Ring with similar setting from a private collection dated to 13th-14th century found in County Durham, England.

Notes: Ring with setting for 7 stones, one central and six flanking. The bezel is made of coils of bronze forming a flower head shape. The ring hoop itself is constructed of a thin, flat band which is broken. There is one red stone remaining, which has yet to be identified.

Metal detection find. West Cheshire, close to the Welsh border, England.

Notes: Hoop is complete and unbroken with a projecting square bezel. Glass paste stone remains.

Notes: Finger ring with expanding hoop shank. Would possibly have been gold or silver plated when made. No stone remains. Central setting with raised circular decorations on both sides.

Notes: The ring hoop is complete and unbroken. Missing parts of the decoration on the shoulders, but retains its original full mercurial gold gilding.

The central bezel is engraved with a design which is uncertain.

Notes: The ring is mostly complete with one shoulder of the central bezel missing on the right hand side. The shoulder of the left hand side has several radiating grooves. The tip of the heart-shaped central bezel is damaged. The heart motif has a singular line defining it.

Provenance: From old Private Collection.

Described as: Superb post Medieval copper alloy Lovers ring slight damage on bezel, found in England L48j.

Notes: The ring is complete although bent. The raisen centre is circular and flat with a Star of Jerusalem motif. The Star of Jerusalem motif was popular with crusaders during the 11th-12 centuries, although it is unclear whether this ring dates to that time. The gilding is largely in tact.

Similar to: There are many others of these dated to 11th to 12th centuries and later.

Notes: The ring hoop is constructede of two wires which are slightly flattened. They seperate to support the rectangular-shaped fave which is raised. The face has a scalloped pattern around the edges and a recessed rectangle with a series of squares lined centrally down the centre. Th ehoop and the face and complete and unbroken. The gilding is almost entire.
